Computer Science Engineering @ a glance

The computer labs are fully air conditioned and the students are previlized to have unlimited access round the clock. The laboratories are equipped with structured fiber optic and UTP cabling network and other relevant software. We have state-of-the-art computer laboratories with 1081 computers (DELL, LENOVA & HP make), 12 servers, 104 printers and over 82 laptops (DELL, SAMSUNG and HP make) with a dedicated network. The Overall ratio of computers to students is more than the number recommended.

The Computer laboratories are being upgraded from time to time to provide the best computational infrastructure.

Electronics & Communication Engineering @ a glance

ECE, the combination of two major branches of engineering, Electronics and Communication, is one of the largest and fastest growing sectors of the present industry. Electronics engineering distinguishes itself from other technical trades by the constant redefinition of its sphere of influence.

This branch of engineering help us to see, hear and communicate over vast distances, supervise production and manufacturing processes and oversee installation and maintenance of computers, peripherals and components. We work with equipments that use extremely small amounts of power. The role of the electronics engineer is pivotal in realms ranging from the toy industry to consumer electronics, from household articles to space/satellite communication.

Our course includes theory, design, fabrication, production, testing and manufacture of complex products and systems. We realize the requirements of equipments and components for major industries, including the medical, automotive, robotic, computer and networking sectors. Further, the design of data processing systems for communication, including the defense requirements falls under our purview.

A graduate in ECE can apply for the post of an engineer with the state government, the central government and the public sector. Machines lab
The objective of the Electric Machine Laboratory is to impart knowledge about characteristics and behavior of the DC and AC Machines, operation of D.C. machines, transformers, synchronous and asynchronous machines and give them experimental skill, familiarize with the constructional details of different types, working principle and their performance. This lab consists of machines such as DC machine, induction motor, induction generator, alternators, synchronous motors etc., all mounted in industrial type of assembly to give the students industrial feel. Well established with all kinds of motors, generators and latest drives, this is the core lab for the Electrical Engineering branch and the ancillary for ECE, Mechanical, Automobile, Chemical, and Metallurgy branches.

Measurements lab

The aim of the Measurements Laboratory is to reinforce the students with an adequate work experience in the measurement of different quantities and also the expertise in handling the instruments involved. It also helps to train the students in the measurement of displacement, resistance, inductance, torque and angle etc., and to give exposure to AC, DC bridges and transient measurement.

Electronic circuit lab
The objective of Electric Circuits laboratory is to impart hands on experience in verification of circuit laws and theorems, measurement of circuit parameters, study of circuit characteristics and simulation of time response. It also gives practical exposure to the usage of CRO, power sources, function generator etc. This lab entrusts the student to study the characteristics, applications of electronic devices, such as p-n junction diode, Bipolar transistor, Field Effect transistor, LED, LCD & other photo electronic devices and Power control/regulator devices. This laboratory is used to impart practical knowledge to the students about the different wiring schemes, familiarization of megger ,MCB and ELCB. Control and Simulation lab

The aim of the Control system laboratory is to provide sound knowledge in the basic concepts of linear control theory and design of control system, to understand the methods of representation of systems and getting their transfer function models, to provide adequate knowledge in the time response of systems and steady state error analysis, to give basic knowledge in obtaining the open loop and closed–loop frequency responses of systems and to understand the concept of stability of control system and methods of stability analysis. It help students to study the compensation design for a control system. The design and implementation of control theory is done using MATLAB software to work out the experiments for open loop and closed loop systems. The lab is well furnished with MATLAB & PSPICE softwares, AC & DC servomotors, synchros, LVDT etc. to conduct various experiments for the III year, EEE students.

Computer Aided Design laboratory is an important practical subject which the Civil engineering students have to learn in their sixth semester. This lab deals with the study of various distinctive features and tools used in AutoCAD and the uses of this software in Civil engineering is covered extensively. The students also learn a Structural Analysis software(STAAD) for analysing structures like trusses, beams etc and a project management software (Prima Vera P6). They will also learn how to use Microsoft Excel in solving various civil engineering problems. The lab is full-fledged with 45 computer systems.
