 The Department of Mechanical Engineering has been in existence ever since the college had its inception in 2003. The Department offers B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering and M.Tech in Machine Design, Industrial Engineering& Thermal Engineering Programs Our department has a team of highly qualified and experienced faculty, well infrastructure and well equipped laboratory. This is an era of Mechanical Engineering revolution. In almost all fields Mechanical Engineering Technologies are used. The Department is mainly aimed to provide the useful knowledge to the students in developing innovative ideas in the advancement of Automobile and Aerospace Industries. Apart from the curriculum our departments offers Guest lecturers from distinguished University Professors and Industrial visits, Summer Internship programs in well reputed institutes and Industries. The core values of the department help the students to develop their overall personality and make them worthy to compete and work at global level. Our faculties are continuously attending various training programs, conferences, publishing research papers and books. Our department strongly encourages Interdisciplinary where today’s world is adapting and believes in Interdisciplinary approach strongly. Our department has been conducting national and International level seminar / conferences to keep the faculty and students alongside with the latest developments in the field of technical education.

M.Tech in Thermal Engineering

 To analyse the problems and create solution by applying engineering knowledge with a multidisciplinary approach in the area of thermal engineering, manufacturing systems and product design

 To analyze, interpret and provide solutions to the real life mechanical engineering problems using engineering software/tools.

 To work effectively in a team to address complex issues by engaging in lifelong learning and following ethical and environmental practices

Short term goals:

  • To provide students with a deep working knowledge of fundamentals in areas related to the field to address needs of the Industry and Society
  • To train students in developing technologies and finding solutions to complex engineering problems
  • To give domain-specific expertise to the department’s faculty
  • To familiarize students in the core process of product development – conceptualize, design, manufacture, test
  • To increase the number of students placed
  • To expand capabilities of research centre and enhance its output
